Brian Knight contributed this photo of the school football team. He says 'I think I have all the surnames, maybe not in the right places, but because I was in the fourth form at this time I was in awe of some of these gents and did not have the temerity to address them by their first names so some of these are lacking.' Dave Ratliff suggested the first name Brian for Newlands.

David Day (known as 'Deeday' or 'Ticker' during his time at the school) wrote in to give Robin White, John Fenn and David Tyler their first names, and also to point out that Robin and David had been swapped over.
